STEP ONE
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. My mother made cookies yesterday and gave one to Cambria..I think there was crack or something equally addicting in it because my child is walking around the house saying 'COOKIE! COOKIE!' and pointing up at the counter. Sugar BAD!@#

It's inevitable that every time I mop the floor I drop spaghetti all over it directly afterwards.

Maybe I should stor mopping and having spaghetti on the same day.

Man, days off are my favorite. I just wish I had a normal schedule so that Justin and I could have the same days off..working at different times sucks ass. Booourns, I say.

Cambria and I are dancing and playing and singing and cleaning today. That's my agenda. I need to go to Holtville at some point in time to get Rotary junk..blech. Cambria didn't sleep well at all last night. I guess that's to be expected since she slept for like 12 hours the night before. 12 hours! I think that's the only time in her life she's ever done that. Crazy kid that never sleeps. She is talking up a storm lately. It's so funny. Myna bird.

I should go clean now.

Happy Birthday slicktrick81!!!!

There is a giant beetle in the kitchen and I'm terrified to leave the computer room. I will barricade myself in here all night long if I have to. Someone pleeeease come kill it or otherwise dispose of it for me? I'll be your best friend that you've ever had in your life!

Okay, so I'm still putting tags on all of my old entries, and I'm barely up to August of 2001! Jesus. Going through all of my entries is pretty funny, however. I'm basically the biggest nerd on the planet and it's quite apparent when reading oold LJ entries. Man. So funny.

I've been spending most of my free time at Tori's house. I don't like sitting at home by myself these days. Too much thinking and obsessing over dumb crap that I don't need to be obsessing over. Last night the boys bought a bunch of fireworks and we spent the majority of the night lighting them in the street for the kids. They loved 'em. Cambria wasn't scared at all, she kept trying to run out to get them. Her fearlessness will get her into trouble one of these days. Crazy child. The parents are having another BBQ this weekend, and there will be more fireworks for all to enjoy. Fun, fun.

So hungry. Would anyone care to come make me a sammich? I will be forever grateful.

We've been playing outside a lot in the past few days..before it gets really hot. What am I saying? It's already been over 110. I HATE THE DESERT! Anyhow, my kid is cute, here are some pictures.

I feel so much better. Thanks to everyone for the get-better vibes. I'm glad I can finally MOVE without being in complete pain. And I can pick bebe up again (I'm not supposed to yet, but shhh, don't tell my doctor!) I hope I never have to go through that again. Not my idea of a fun time, that's for sure.

Justin's mom watched bebe yesterday and we (and Steve) went to the movies. Hitchhikr's Guide. Not as good as the book(s), obviously, but I enjoyed it. I think it's worth seeing, but I think you should definitely read the book beforehand. It was awesome to get out of the house..my lord. The first time in a week that I left the house. And I wore jeans! JEANS! Oh my. I know how to cut a rug. I've been wearing sweatpants all week because the incision really doesn't feel too good when I have jeans on.

After the movie we picked Angel and Jewel up and went over to Justin's so he and Angel could record some vocals for zee band. After they were done doing that we went to Megan's for her birthday get together. Happy Birthday, Megan!! We left there around 10, way past bebe's bedtime! She was delirious. Crazy child of mine. Anyhow, fun times leaving the house. I should leave the house more often.

I know I need to do a picture post soon, cut me some slack, I've been recuperating! I'll get some pics up soon.

Cambria's birthday party was on Saturday. Overall it went well. She wasn't in a very good mood for most of the day, and there was some drama with the sperm donor, but the party went well. More people showed up than I thought. The only thing that really sucked was that Cambria fell asleep before cake, so I didn't get the baby eating cake on her birthday picture. Oh well, I'll get her to eat cake one of these days and take a picture.


It's my party and I'll cry if I want to, damnit.
